Spurs defender Djed Spence is confident he can stop Mohamed Salah ahead of Thursday’s Carabao Cup clash.

The 24-year-old defender has been a key figure for Spurs as the club struggled with an injury crisis over the past two months, including a 1-0 win at Liverpool เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final which halted the Egyptian’s impressive run of form.

Spurs were languishing with one win in 11 league games before bouncing back in the Premier League with the vital 2-0 win at Brentford. Pressure is mounting on Postecoglou, with the north London side sitting 14th in the league table.

“I would back myself to fight against anybody. Salah is a fantastic player and he’s in good form but you have to stop him from going on fire.”

Salah is the Premier League’s leading scorer with 21 goals, two more than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Spence also insisted he is keen to help Spurs weather the crisis which has seen them sit 14th in the Premier League and put Ange Postecoglou’s job in doubt for some time.

“It’s difficult but we fight for the manager, we fight for the club and, you know, we all believe in what he wants to do. “

We have to be confident, we have to be ready to fight and hopefully we can get to the final,” Spence concluded.
