Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers believes January signings have made a huge impact on the team after their 2-1 home win over Forest.
“It was a good moment, we knew it was a big game, Forest are doing well in the league and they are a difficult team to play against. We knew we had to start quickly and we knew we had to win if we wanted to be where we wanted to be in the Premier League. We’re played well and deserved to get the lead. We knew they would come back, they have quality but it was important for us to withstand the pressure.”

I knew I had to make sure the first touch was right to have a chance. The ball was on target perfectly and I was happy to score. You could hear the fans when the ball went into the top corner, so I had to stay calm and focused.”
Speaking about the game against PSG, he said: “It will be a very important game. It’s a dream to play in this game. We will go there with confidence because we are playing well at the moment. They are one of the best teams in the world. There is no denying that. We’re in the quarter-finals for a reason. We will go there and try to win like we always do and see where it takes us. We are looking forward to it.”
