Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers believes January signings have made a huge impact on the team after their 2-1 home win over Forest.

“It was a good moment, we knew it was a big game, Forest are doing well in the league and they are a difficult team to play against. We knew we had to start quickly and we knew we had to win if we wanted to be where we wanted to be in the Premier League. We’re played well and deserved to get the lead. We knew they would come back, they have quality but it was important for us to withstand the pressure.”
Villa signed Malen permanently from Borussia Dortmund in the winter window as well as bringing in Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio and Axel Disasi on loan.
On the impact of the January signings: “That’s football. The signings in January proved to be important for us. We’re knew it was สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน important if we wanted to compete in the second half of the season in the three competitions. We made changes but we knew our job. We were fully committed and the players that they brought in did a great job. It was a total performance.”
On his goal: “I saw Morato wasn’t looking and when Youri Tielemans got the ball I moved straight away. He’s got this ability to find me from everywhere. I knew I had to make sure the first touch was right to have a chance. The ball was on target perfectly and I was happy to score. You could hear the fans when the ball went into the top corner, so I had to stay calm and focused.”
Speaking about the game against PSG, he said: “It will be a very important game. It’s a dream to play in this game. We will go there with confidence because we are playing well at the moment. They are one of the best teams in the world. There is no denying that. We’re in the quarter-finals for a reason. We will go there and try to win like we always do and see where it takes us. We are looking forward to it.”
